Why does the Lasagna taste exactly the same as the Pizza sauce?

You used similar ingredient in making lasagna as you would in making pizza

because its very similar. Ditto marinara and red spaghetti sauce.

Its basically the same make up to the sauce.

Pizza and lasagna both include marinara sauce

* A:
Same ingredients, that's why. And why can't Americans spell lasagne?

Could it be the tomatoes / sauce?

IDK about other people's, but I use the same spices in both.
